Heroes Hub Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

M3 Partners Limited (company number 10242333) is the data controller for the personal data collected across all Heroes Hub properties listed in the Terms and Conditions. Our registered office is Hive 365, Astute House, Wilmslow Road, Handforth, Cheshire, SK9 3HP. For Jobs4Heroes and HireHub, M3 Partners Limited operates the platform on behalf of Tiger Global; see clause 6 below for how your data is shared in that context.

2. What data we collect

Depending on which services you use, we may collect:

• account information: name, email, password, date of birth, service history
• contact and demographic details: phone number, address, branch of service, service dates
• enquiry and claim information, where you submit an enquiry through Heroes Legal Help
• course activity: courses started or completed, quiz results, progress
• employment information, where you use Jobs4Heroes or HireHub: CV, work history, qualifications
• technical data: IP address, device and browser information, cookies (see our Cookie Policy)

3. How we use your data

3.1 Account and general usage data (your name, contact details, and which Heroes Hub services you use) may be used across the Heroes Hub family, for example to recognise you when you sign in to a different service, to recommend relevant courses or services, and to improve the services generally.

3.2 Information you give us for a specific purpose, such as details of an injury or claim submitted through Heroes Legal Help, or health-related information submitted to a course or the calculator, is used only for that purpose. We do not pool this information into a general profile or share it across other Heroes Hub services without asking you first.

3.3 Where we want to use information from one service (for example, something you tell us while using Heroes Academy) to offer you a different service (for example, a referral through Heroes Legal Help), we will ask for your specific consent before doing so.

4. Our legal basis for processing

• performance of a contract, to provide the account and services you sign up for
• consent, for special category data (such as health information) and for sharing your details with a third-party solicitor or employer
• legitimate interests, for basic service improvement and fraud prevention, balanced against your rights
• legal obligation, where we must retain or disclose information by law

5. Special category data

Some information you may share with us, particularly through Heroes Legal Help, the calculator, or hearing-related course content, counts as special category data under UK GDPR (for example, health information relating to hearing loss or injury). We will only collect and use this with your explicit consent, and only for the purpose you gave it to us.

6. Who we share your data with

• solicitors and firms on our Heroes Legal Help panel, where you have consented to an enquiry being passed on (see clause 5.3 of the Terms and Conditions regarding our marketing fee arrangement with these firms)
• Tiger Global, as the business operating Jobs4Heroes and HireHub on whose behalf M3 Partners Limited runs the platform, and employers, where you apply for a role
• our service providers, including our technology and content delivery team based in the Philippines, who process data on our behalf under contract
• regulators or authorities, where required by law

We do not sell your personal data.

7. International transfers

Some of our processing, including the operation of Jobs4Heroes and HireHub, is carried out by Tiger Global and our team in the Philippines. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we use appropriate safeguards, including the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your data to UK standards.

8. How long we keep your data

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, or dispute-handling requirements. Enquiry and claim data passed to a third-party solicitor is retained by them under their own privacy policy.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent.
